1. Introduction
Welcome to LexMate. Your privacy is very important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how LexMate handles your data, how we collect it, store it, and what rights you have regarding it.
By using LexMate, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.
2. What data we collect and store
- LexMate provides login and registration functionality. When you register, we store the login credentials (e.g. email/username and password) locally on your device using SQLite (or device internal storage).
- All other user-generated data (if any) — notes, preferences, or any content you store within the app — is likewise stored locally on your device.
- We do not collect, transmit, or store any of your personal data on external servers or in the cloud. No data leaves your device.
3. Why we store data locally
Storing data locally enables you to use LexMate without network connectivity, ensures your data remains private to your device, and gives you full control. Because data stays on your phone, you don’t need to create a server account, and your information remains under your control.
4. Data sharing / Third‑parties / External services
- LexMate does not share your data with any third parties.
- We do not use analytics, advertising, external SDKs, or tracking services (unless we explicitly state otherwise in future versions).
- There is no data transmission to any external servers.
5. Data retention & deletion
- Your data is retained as long as the app remains installed on your device.
- If you uninstall LexMate from your device, all your data stored locally will be removed.
- There is no “cloud account,” so there is no remote server-side retention of your data.
- If you want to delete your account/data manually while using the app, LexMate provides an in‑app “Delete Account / Clear Data” feature.
6. User rights & Data control
Because your data remains local and no data is transmitted or stored externally:
- You have full control over your data.
- You can delete your data at any time by using the “Delete Account / Clear Data” option inside the app — or by uninstalling LexMate.
- There is no way for us (the developer) to access or restore your data once deleted, since nothing is stored on remote servers.
7. Security
- All data is stored only on your device’s internal storage / local SQLite database; we do not store sensitive data on external or insecure locations.
- We recommend you treat your device securely (e.g. use device‑level lock, avoid sharing device).
8. Data for children / Minors
LexMate is not intended specifically for children. We do not knowingly collect or store personal data from children under age 13 (or other applicable age threshold). Because data is local‑only, the user (or their guardian) retains full control.
9. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy in the future (for example, if we add external services, analytics, or a backend). If we do, we will update the “Last updated” date — and we encourage you to review the policy each time you update the app.
10. Contact / Inquiries
If you have any questions, concerns, or requests regarding your data, privacy or this policy, you can contact us at:
